Deliverables

Storyboard frames, animation direction, visual concepts, final explainer assets

A playful animated explainer designed to make Tines automation features easier to understand, remember, and share.

Task

Tines needed an engaging way to explain how automation can simplify complex security workflows. The goal was to turn abstract product benefits into a clear, playful, and easy-to-follow animated story.

Design approach

Simplify the product story

I shaped the animation around a clear narrative flow, turning Tines’ automation features into a simple story rather than a technical product walkthrough.

Use playful metaphors

Abstract security workflows were translated into floating objects, connected paths, and character-driven scenes, making automation feel more tangible and memorable.

Design for motion

Each scene was planned with pacing, transitions, camera movement, and animated handoff in mind, so the storyboard could move smoothly into production.

Balance clarity and personality

The visual direction used bright colors, soft 3D-inspired forms, and playful isometric environments to make the product feel approachable while still supporting a credible B2B technology message.

Challenge

Tines helps teams automate complex security workflows, but the value can be difficult to communicate through static visuals alone. The challenge was to simplify technical concepts and turn them into a story that felt clear, engaging, and easy to follow.

Animation strategy

The animation was structured around a simple narrative arc: introduce the challenge, show the automation experience, and highlight key product benefits through playful visual metaphors.

Storyboards

Storyboards were used to plan the narrative, pacing, and transitions before animation production. Each frame focused on a clear message, giving the animation team a strong visual foundation for movement, timing, and scene flow.

A more engaging way to explain automation

The final animation transformed technical product messaging into a playful and memorable viewing experience, helping audiences quickly understand how Tines can simplify complex workflows.
